Helping
make a key event national!
The Canadian Bible Society's (CBS) Bike for Bibles
event
has brought cyclists and supporters together on the West Coast
of Canada for the last 10 years. With CBS (www.biblesociety.ca)
celebrating 100 years in 2006, Bike for Bibles will expand to the
Centennial Bike for Bibles, taking participating cyclists on a
history-making 62-day journey reaching every province in
the nation.
The cyclists hope to raise $500,000 to establish a national
partnership initiative in Canada. To help raise funds and make a
truly national event, a website using Unxvision's eEventMarketer
is being developed.
Unxvision is able to provide the customization required to truly
reflect
what the event entails and who CBS is as an organization. Not only
will cyclists able to register online, they will also receive their
very
own fundraising page for personalization with a photo and a story.
Event participants will be able to request and track donations online
and send emails to family, friends and colleagues.
Special features include an online Photo Album and Journal for
cyclists to record and share their thoughts and photos as they
prepare for and participate in this momentous event.
The website will open the Bike for Bibles event to anyone in Canada
and beyond inviting them to become involved with cyclists —reading
their stories as their journey progresses. Also, supporters will
be able to support a cyclist or donate directly to CBS through a
simple and secure online donation form.
The website will launch in October 2005. We will keep you posted.
